. Please join us at our next coffee morning on Thursday 5th October at 9.00am, all welcome!

The PTA are looking for new members to join!

If you'd like to join and start fundraising in September, just get in touch or come and leave your details at the main school office!

On Friday 7th July we held our annual Summer Fayre!

Friends of Thameside/PTA, would like to thank parents, carers and staff, for supporting our Summer Fayre. It was a huge success and we made a profit of £943.73 . Which is fantastic.
Without the donations of items for our stalls and prizes, time to help prepare, set up and clear away, and ofcourse pairs of hands, on the day, we wouldn't be able to make a success of our events.

With that in mind. We would like to take this opportunity to recruit new PTA members to join us. If you would be interested in joining us, to start with our fundraising from September, please leave your name and contact details with the school office, and we will be intouch.

Our latest news...

. Parents Evenings are taking place 28th and 29th March, please contact the school ASAP if you haven't made an appointment. Looking for a career change? We are looking for a trainee teacher to start with us this September, visit the UCAS website to apply. Please join us at our next coffee morning on Thursday 23rd March at the usual time of 9:00am for a detalied run-through of our school website.

Generally, our meetings take place once a month on Thursdays from 3:30pm, although this can be more regular when organising an event. As everybody's lifestyle is different we understand that at times you might not be able to attend a meeting so we make sure that anyone who isn't able to make it is kept up-to-date with information.

Being on the PTA doesn't have to be a full time job and we welcome and appreciate any input. We have members who are not often able to attend meetings of events, but who do a lot of work behind the scenes, whether it be making phone calls, shopping for and ordering equipment, or doing a little bit of research to help with organising events. Any help we receive really does make a difference.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Chair of Friends of Thameside/PTA

Hi, my name is Cheryll Watt and I am the Chair of Friends of Thameside/PTA.

I have been a parent at Thameside Primary School for 10 years.

Being a member of the PTA allows you to get to know school staff members on a familiar basis. It is a good way to get your face known and meet other parents. Every parent or carer that joins the PTA have all got one thing in common - improving the school for the benefit of its pupils. The PTA are a big part of the school community and are great at getting families together.
