9th July 2018
After, yet again, a very successful Summer Fayre, last Friday, the PTA raised a fantastic amount. Totalling over £900.
There are so many people that we would like to thank, but the people named below, went above and beyond, and deserved a special mention.
•Luke Little and Bradley Burgess from Stepping Stones - many thanks for manning our PTA stalls
•Thankyou to the entrepreneur, Marla Taylor and Sophie Calianu for making items and bringing items of their own to make up a stall, donating all of their proceeds to the PTA, for the pupils at the school. The girls did an amazing job with their stall. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do.
•Thankyou to a parent of the school that knew she wouldn’t be able to attend our summer fayre, but kindly donated some money.
Thank you to Miss Hatton and the Thameside dancers for opening the fete with a fantastic performance.
We, the Friends Of Thameside/PTA, cannot stress enough, the value of any time, anyone can give, in preparing, helping and tidying up, at our events, it is gratefully received.
On behalf of myself and fellow PTA members, I would like to Thankyou for your continued support at our events.
We wish you an enjoyable, safe and happy summer holidays for 2018.
See you in September, to do it all again.

The PTA are looking for new members to join!
If you'd like to join and start fundraising just get in touch or come and leave your details at the main school office!
Hi, my name is Cheryll Watt and I am the Chair of Friends of Thameside/PTA.
I have been a parent at Thameside Primary School for 10 years.
Being a member of the PTA allows you to get to know school staff members on a familiar basis. It is a good way to get your face known and meet other parents. Every parent or carer that joins the PTA have all got one thing in common - improving the school for the benefit of its pupils. The PTA are a big part of the school community and are great at getting families together.
Generally, our meetings take place once a month on Thursdays from 2:30pm, although this can be more regular when organising an event. As everybody's lifestyle is different we understand that at times you might not be able to attend a meeting so we make sure that anyone who isn't able to make it is kept up-to-date with information.
Being on the PTA doesn't have to be a full time job and we welcome and appreciate any input. We have members who are not often able to attend meetings of events, but who do a lot of work behind the scenes, whether it be making phone calls, shopping for and ordering equipment, or doing a little bit of research to help with organising events. Any help we receive really does make a difference.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
